Just logged on to Gametracker to see how the Illini were doing against University of South Florida only to find the game was over.  But the good news is the Illini won!  The good guys defeated USF 5-1.  Chase Kliment and Ryan Snowden both had 2 rbis each and Brian Blomquist pitched 6 shutout innings.  [...]

Today I took the kids to the first game of the doubleheader between the Northwestern Wildcats and the University of Illinois Fighting Illini. Last night’s game between the two was a laugher as Illinois won 21-4. Brian Blomquist pitched a complete game and Dusty Bensko hit a grand slam in their rout of the Wildcats. [...]
