What a weekend! In two straight games, Illinois won in comeback fashion!
This will be a short post. I’m strapped for time as I’m heading out of town for vacation this week. That said, I still wanted to get these photos from the out.
Friday: Illinois 2 Southern Indiana 1
Cameron Chee-Aloy drove home the winning run with two outs in the ninth inning. Kudos to all of the pitchers including starter Jack Crowder for keeping the Eagle count down.
Saturday: Illinois 6 Southern Indiana 5
Homeruns by Drake Westcott and Ryan Moerman got the Illini goin’ but it was Jacob Schroeder’s dinger that took back the lead.
Yes, it was very windy!
Sunday: Southern Indiana 8 Illinois 3
Sadly, Illinois could not complete the sweep against USI.
Brody Harding’s second homer gave the home fans something to cheer about in the 7th inning.
