A little non-baseball yet Illini-related material stuff in honor of tomorrow’s football game versus Illinois State.
For me, I can tell that it’s fall by the sound of a marching band. You see, I have the privilege of hearing (and sometimes watching) the University of Illinois Marching Band practice right outside the building where I work. They come out pretty much every weekday afternoon.
Today, I took some quick photos when they were getting some last minute practice in before our first home football game of the season against Illinois State.
All these photos were taken either from my building or right outside the door.
Yes, flag girls get their practice in, too.
Note the tall structure that band director stands on.
