Snarskis returns to Illinois Field in coaching role

In addition to the changes in the newly-released roster, there is one change on the coaching side of Illinois Baseball in 2020. Illini right-handed pitcher Quinn Snarskis will be staying on and will serve as the student assistant coach.

Snarskis will join head coach Dan Hartleb, assistant coaches Drew Dickinson and Adam Christ and volunteer assistant coach Curt Courtwright.

In his junior year for the Illini, Snarskis had a breakout season going 6-1 with a 2.84 ERA. His ERA was sixth best in the Big Ten that season. Unfortunately, injuries sidelined Quinn for most of the 2019 season. The good news for Illini fans is that he didn’t lose his passion for baseball.

Snarskis will be enrolling into graduate school here at the University of Illinois in the College of Business and the College of Media. This will allow him to pursue studies a in strategic brand communication program. It will also let him participate as a student assistant coach for the 2020 season.

Quinn, we’re glad to have you in your new role!!
