Get yer Illini baseball fix; Illini take on SIU Tuesday

Tuesday night the Southern Illinois Salukis come rolling into town.  If I’m not mistaken, they are the only team we will play in 2009 on two separate occasions.  We played them on April 15th in Marion, Il and lost 9-6.  Let’s hope we have better luck at home at Illinois Field.

For those in the C-U area who are suffering from Illinois baseball withdrawal like I am, this is your chance to see the boys in action.  Tuesday’s game is the only home game on the schedule between April 18th and May 5th.

Game #39

Record: 26-12 (11-4 Big Ten)

Since we’ve played SIU, they lost three to Indiana State but now they have a bit of momentum going for them.  They’re coming off a three-game sweep of Illinois State including an 8-0 shutout on Sunday.

If you’re wondering about weather, there’s call for rain on Tuesday but reports are it’s mostly for early in the day and should clear up by the afternoon.  So come on out and get your Illinois baseball fix!
