Illinois concludes 2021 Orange and Blue series

Andrew Kim heading home to score

I was able to make the last game of Illinois baseball’s Orange and Blue Series on Monday.  Even my wife was able to attend with me.  I call that a great date night!

You can find a few photos from the game in the 2021-2022 IBR photo gallery.

It was great to get a first look at the freshmen and first-year transfers including Johnny Czeslawski (adding that to my spell check dictionary), Ryan Moerman, Izaak Siefken and Cal Shepherd.

My wife and I had a chance to talk to Steve Christ who is Coach Adam Christ’s father.  Steve, who saw all three O&B series games is a friendly regular in the Illinois Field stands during the season.  His take on the current Illinois Baseball team?  “This team can hit”.  He said no matter who the pitcher, they can rake.  Like me, he is looking forward to the 2022 season.

Illinois fans will be able to watch at least one more game at Illinois Field this fall.  Illinois will be hosting Eastern Illinois on Sunday, October 3rd starting at noon.

Stop on by for another fun afternoon!
