Jeff Huth of the News Gazette reported a couple days ago that four walk-ons have made the UI team after trying out for the team in the fall.  They include one pitcher, one outfielder, and two catchers.  Interestingly, three of them are downstaters.

Snowy day

After soundly defeating LSU 6-2 today, one has to wonder if Saturday’s 22-10 drubbing by the Tigers was just really bad dream.

Roark (right) will be sitting out 2008

Monday was the first day of practice for the University of Illinois baseball team,  I showed up to watch and take a few photos.

The University of Illinois baseball team has added 3 games to the schedule to make up for games canceled for inclement weather.
The first was this past Wednesday’s game and it was pretty sparsely attended.
