The Fighting Illini baseball team now has new uniforms.

On Monday, the boys donned their new garb for the first time within the confines of the Irwin Indoor Athletic Facility where it was nice and warm. The uni change wasn’t a surprise since all of the Fighting Illini sports have gone through the re-branding process (thank you, Nike).
I’ll be honest. The jerseys didn’t thrill me when I saw the photos of them initially. However, they look much better when they are actually worn by our guys. And they are just uniforms. What fills them is more important.
The Illini have one week to get accustomed to their new threads as they take on New Mexico State on February 13th in Beaumont, Texas.
