I ran across this photo on my Facebook feed. It was posted by former Illini Shawn Roof and with his permission, I’m re-posting it here. Shawn (right) has been a fan favorite wherever he plays and I know Illinois Baseball fans would love to see that he’s still in a baseball uniform.
Currently, Shawn is a coach in the Baltimore Oriole organization for the single-A Delmarva Shorebirds. That’s his “little” brother, Jonathan Roof next to him. Some may remember Jonathan as Shawn’s rival from Michigan State when they both were in college. Shawn tells me that he got see his brother play recently when their paths crossed this spring.
