Seeing as it’s October, it was about time to change the Illinois Baseball Report banner that you see at the top of the page.
From left to right, you’ll see infielder Michael Hurwitz, starting pitcher Kevin Duchene, outfielder Will Krug, firstbaseman David Kerian, and infielder/pitcher Reid Roper.
And for posterity’s sake, here is last year’s banner which served us so well:
Again from left to right, it’s Davis Hendrickson, Brandon Hohl, Thomas Lindauer, Jordan Parr, Kevin Johnson, John Kravetz and Justin Parr. Of those seven, only starting pitcher Kravetz remains on the squad.
I’m hoping that the intensity shown by Hurwitz, Duchene and Roper combined with the exuberance of Krug and Kerian are a good example of what the Illinois baseball team is all about.
