Dominic Altobelli is on a roll now in the minors. Playing for the Casper Ghosts in the Rookie League, he has a 11 game hit streak going back July 1. According to his father Mike, Dom’s manager is trying him out at 2B just to keep him in the lineup.
For the year, Altobelli is hitting .276.
Hit streaks are nothing new to Altobelli. Toward the end of the 2009 Illini season, Altobelli put together a string of 13 multi-hit games.
